Nifty 50

India's benchmark index of the 50 largest NSE companies.

Definition

The Nifty 50 is the flagship benchmark index of the National Stock Exchange (NSE), tracking the weighted performance of 50 of India's largest and most liquid companies across sectors. It is widely used to gauge the health of the Indian equity market.

Example

A Nifty 50 index fund or ETF gives you diversified exposure to India's 50 biggest listed companies in a single investment.
